Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding Leeds office. Role Overview: The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing competitive tenders for a variety of mechanical building services projects. You'll be working closely within the estimating team and collaborating with the commercial and operational teams to ensure accurate and profitable project delivery. You will report directly to the Lead Estimator and work within a 3-person estimating team, alongside a 4-person commercial (QS) team led by the Commercial Manager. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of detailed mechanical services estimates and tender submissions. Take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required. Identify and propose value engineering opportunities. Prepare clear tender returns, risk assessments, and clarifications. Support project handover to operational teams post-contract award. Maintain accurate records and assist with post-tender negotiations when necessary. Project Sectors: Commercial Developments Industrial Facilities Sports Stadiums Large Warehouses and Distribution Centres Office Fit-outs and New Build Projects Ideal Candidate Profile: Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services or M&E industry. Strong technical understanding of mechanical services (HVAC, heating, plumbing, etc.). Experience handling projects from £100k up to £12m. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail with commercial awareness. Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software. Ability to manage multiple tenders concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
