As a Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will combine month-end work whilst providing support and analysis to the operational teams across the European entity. You will support the SLT and engineers on the ground with understanding their costs and spends as well as identifying risks and opportunities for the business.

My client, who are market leaders in their high-tech manufacturing space, are a circa £250 million turnover business in Europe that are part of a much larger £2 billion turnover global parent Group headquartered in the US. In the UK, they have 2 manufacturing sites with circa 850 employees. The business is very acquisitive, and a lot of their success in recent years has been through acquisition.
Description
* In this role, you can expect to spend circa 60-70% of your time business partnering and the rest on BAU Finance activities.
* General ledger accounting including completion of the period-end close process.
* Inventory standard costing & PPV, reserve calculations/reconciliations plus reports for the corporate team.
* Revenue reserves/reconciliations.
* Provision of inputs and insights into the monthly forecasting process.
* Preparation of analysis and reporting departmental expenditure to support operational decision-making, with a focus on cost control.
* Provide continuous financial insight to the business through participating in operational meetings.
* Consigned inventory oversight and reconciliation.
* Support team members with standard cost creation and transfer price requests.
* Year-end standard cost review.
* Year-end fixed asset verification review.
* Supporting annual statutory audit and reporting.
* ONS returns.
* Ad hoc projects as directed by the Commercial Finance Manager and/or Financial Controller.
Profile
The position is particularly suited to someone with a solid accounting background, preferably a qualified Chartered Accountant with the ability to hit the ground running, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA - this role will consider candidates coming out of Practice for the first time.
* Ability to prioritise and manage several tasks and projects at the same time.
* A strong work ethic with an ability to work to deadlines.
* Ability to gain the confidence and trust of internal customers and manage expectations effectively.
* Analytical and decision-making skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
