CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Panel Builder to join our client’s team in the Ilminster area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of Low Voltage electrical switchgear, control panels, and related products. This role requires a trained electrician with a strong background in electrical assembly and an understanding of electrical schematics and components.
Location: Ilminster area
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Salary: Up to £15 per hour (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and wire Low Voltage (LV) electrical switchgear and control panels according to electrical schematics.
Build and wire distribution boards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety regulations.
Understand and work from electrical schematics and bills of materials to complete projects.
Work with LV power components and electrical controls, ensuring the highest quality of assembly.
Perform panel assembly tasks with attention to detail, ensuring all components are securely installed and meet required specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery of projects.
Requirements
Trained Electrician (HNC/HND or equivalent) or 3+ years of relevant experience within the electrical industry.
Experience in building and wiring distribution boards and electrical panels.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and bills of materials.
Familiarity with LV electrical controls and power components.
Experience in panel assembly and working with electrical wiring.
Good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices.
