Job summary
Derbyshire Community Health Services has a great opportunity for a Technical Instructor to join our Amber Valley and Erewash Neurological Outpatient team. This role is based at Ripley Hospital where we provide assessment and rehabilitation to outpatients with a large variety of neurological conditions.
This role is advertised as full time but part time hours may be considered, please contact us to discuss.

Main duties of the job
The post will be flexible to move across sites according to service needs and therefore the ability to travel will be essential.
As a Technical Instructor working within our service you will:
1. Provide highly skilled support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, aiding the rehabilitation of patients in the Neurological Outpatient Service.
2. Provide initial assessment for designated patient groups, as agreed with the MDT.
3. Work single handed and unsupervised when appropriate either in the outpatient setting, or occasionally in the patients home without direct supervision or presence of a qualified therapist
4. To plan and provide ongoing treatment, education and instruction to their caseload of patients seen in both individual and group settings. This will include some evaluation and progression of treatment programmes.
5. To provide administration support, providing telephone cover and undertaking clerical duties as needed.
