About The Role
This role is an opportunity for a Solicitor to join a large team of twelve, with no line management responsibilities. This is a fast-paced in-house legal team that works on a broad range of matters. The successful candidate will be required to provide legal advice across areas of law including but not limited to contracts, procurement, charity, litigation, insolvency, subsidy and state aid, debt recovery, and public law.
In addition to providing substantive advice, the role requires a solicitor to be able to research and upskill on new areas of law very swiftly. Further, it is expected that the solicitor will use their legal knowledge to improve the Fund's internal processes and precedents, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks at all times.
The bulk of the solicitor's workload will consist of autonomous matters and legal queries that need to be answered in a timely manner. Additionally, the solicitor will also work on larger scale projects where the opportunity arises.
Experience working in a fast-paced in-house or private practice environment is ideal, as is experience dealing with a range of clients and public law or public bodies. Knowledge of debt recovery/litigation and state aid/subsidy law would be beneficial, as would experience gained in the UK.
