This is also an exciting time as we have recently announced the ‘Joint Clinical Strategy’ which will enable greater collaboration with North Bristol Trust (NBT) to provide sustainable and equitable acute care for patients across the region.
Our service is comprised of a 39 bedded Acute Medical Unit, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit and the management of the Medical Take. Acute Medicine is within the Division of Medicine, working closely with colleagues in the Emergency Department, Care of the Elderly, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Category Qualifications & Training
* Full and specialist registration in either AIM or GIM with the General Medical Council (GMC) or
* Eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview *Locum candidates do not need specialist registration

Experience
* Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in Acute Medicine
* Able to take responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision

Clinical Knowledge and Skills
* Up to date knowledge and experience of relevant specialty
* Knowledge of NHS priorities with reference to specialty
