A large-scale multinational Defence business is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager on a fulltime permanent basis in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (hybrid working).
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for negotiating terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with T&Cs, and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise in the management of contracts made with customers, vendors, partners, or employees.
Experience working in the Aerospace and/or Defence industry is preferred; however, applicants will be considered from all technical manufacturing/engineering industries.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the development of effective commercial strategies to underpin the achievement of IPT objectives.
2. Ensure and maintain effective commercial governance in accordance with policies, procedures, and processes.
3. Management of commercial aspects of bids, including the drafting of terms and conditions and clearance through the bid review process.
4. Lead contract and subcontract negotiations ensuring the flow of prime terms and the implementation of effective contract management during project lifecycles for the IPT.
5. Lead contract negotiations for non-strategic bids and subcontracts. Support strategic bids and contract negotiations.
6. Implement appropriate commercial/contractual arrangements for the delivery of the IPT's strategic projects and programmes, ensuring that such arrangements protect Ultra's commercial and financial interests.
7. Support the implementation and management of key business processes ensuring commercial integrity of activities through the bid review process.
8. Work collaboratively with and support the IPT and other functions, sharing ownership of problems and actively leading and/or supporting resolution strategies, plans, and actions.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
1. Proven experience within a Commercial and/or Contract-oriented role.
2. Working knowledge of contracts and standard contracting terms for the supply of goods and services.
3. Eligible to gain UK (SC) Security Clearance.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
