Job Title: Finance Manager Location: Glascoed, South Wales Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Managing and guiding a diverse team of project accountants to produce high-quality, consistent financial forecasts and encouraging knowledge-sharing and professional growth while ensuring financial data is thorough, accurate, and meaningful Driving effective and consistent finance processes by fostering a culture of collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement and strengthening financial controls to enhance transparency, accountability, and compliance Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to equip stakeholders with clear insights and reliable forecasts, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning Developing a Finance Capability Centre to enhance business performance by providing financial expertise across the project lifecycle, supporting successful and sustainable project delivery Delivering insightful financial analysis and business intelligence to support well-informed decisions alongside identifying and addressing risks while creating opportunities to strengthen financial performance and ensure responsible working capital management Leading the production of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets (IBP) through collaboration, careful analysis, and constructive discussion Partnering with Finance Business Partners and IPTs to support well-rounded cost estimation, risk management, and opportunity identification Your skills and experiences: Essential: Qualified member of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Experience in Project Finance, such as forecasting, financial planning, or working on projects Proven relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and engage effectively with stakeholders Desirable: Experience in a similar or related industry Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial tools for reporting, forecasting, and analysis (e.g., SAP BPC / SAC, Cognos, Tableau) Experience in managing a team and providing coaching or mentoring to team members Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
