Quality Manager - Leading Civil Engineering Contractor - Snowdonia
A Leading Civil Engineering Contractor is currently looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to be based permanently on site on one of their biggest schemes to date valuing at £300M. This is a permanent position working with one of their key clients on this project for the next five years. With an impressive pipeline of intricate and complex heavy infrastructure projects for key clients coming up over the next five years as the business builds and develops on their UK presence, with wider projects in the rail, telecoms, industrial & M&E sector.
The Quality Manager will work closely with the Project Director and Project Managers across the project providing fundamental support to the project and team. Overseeing the management and quality reporting processes and systems, ensuring compliance across relevant documents, assisting with planning stages and document control ensuring the projects are completed to high standards following best practice.
Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):
1. Implement both company and client Quality Management Systems.
2. Be the primary point of contact for the client regarding any Quality issues.
3. Establish and enforce quality standards and measurement systems.
4. Conduct quality audits on sites, suppliers & consultants.
5. Establish & build quality control systems and implement across site.
6. Build training programmes and ensure training is conducted to the correct individuals.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. You will be required to provide flexibility in this role; a car/allowance is provided with this role, so you must have a FULL UK manual car driving license.
2. You will have experience within a similar role with a large civil engineering/infrastructure project.
3. Strong knowledge and experience of BIM legislation and regulations, as well as industry best practice.
4. Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute or institution of Civil Engineers.
5. Experience and understanding of ISO 19650 and 4Projects, A-Site and ProjectWise.
