Secondary School Science Teacher Location: Swansea (SA6) Position: Science Teacher (Supply) Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary Salary: Pay starting at £166.32 per day About the Role: Teaching Personnel is working with a secondary school in Swansea to recruit a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a temporary (supply) basis. This role will involve teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5) to help maintain the school's high standards of academic achievement and engagement in the subject. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to excel in their studies. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the school’s curriculum. Teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience). Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing feedback to ensure continued development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Adapt teaching methods and materials to cater to a range of abilities and learning styles. Contribute to the overall ethos of the school and support the wider school community. Key Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ideally a degree in a science-related subject). Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (preferred but not essential). Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. The ability to engage and motivate students with a range of abilities. A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching in a supply capacity. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
