How You'll Make a Difference
You will make a difference as project support officer, by supporting an ambitious programme to deliver over £100m worth of investment through the CRSTS programme. As the project enters the delivery phase you will support the Operations Manager in the coordination of the construction phase.
The project involves large scale improvements to Active Travel across the A432, A4174, A38 and Bradley Stoke Way as well as the reopening of Charfield Railway Station.
What You Will Be Doing
* You will support colleagues to ensure that project objectives are achieved within timescales and budget, and in compliance with Council and funder requirements.
* Providing effective administrative support to project delivery teams, you will assist project managers and project sponsors with the co-ordination of information, communication, monitoring and control activities to support successful delivery.
* Daily, you will manage diaries, papers and correspondence across a number of projects, arrange and attend meetings and workshops, draft agendas, record detailed minutes for meetings and carry out follow-up work.
* It will be your responsibility to monitor outcomes and outputs to ensure that they comply with the defined project deliverables, and help complete project reports, and aid in the preparation and delivery of presentations.
* You will help to put in place best practice project management processes and methods, such as financial management, risk management, stakeholder management, change control and assurance.
What We Need From You
* You must be educated to degree level in project management, transport planning, or civil engineering, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge.
* We require you to understand how project management methodologies should be applied both accurately and effectively on all projects.
* Establish good working relationships with Project Managers, Project Sponsors, peers, suppliers and stakeholders and an ability to work and communicate across different teams.
* Ability to interpret technical data and make recommendations for implementation and analyse, prioritise and organise workload to meet competing deadlines.
* You will be confident to deliver presentations and confident in MS Office project scheduling and programming.
* It will be a requirement for you to have the desire and commitment to obtain the APM’s ‘Project Management Qualification.

* This is a hybrid role meaning that you can work remotely or in our offices.
* Interviews will be held week beginning 14th April 2025.
