This position has been created to allow the founders of the business to focus on strategic growth initiatives following a significant private equity investment last year. Our client has achieved remarkable success over the past 5 years, growing from zero to £65 million in turnover. They produce and distribute hundreds of thousands of units to households on a weekly basis. The Operations Director / General Manager will play a critical role in enabling the company to continue to scale operations to meet growing market demand. Responsibilities will include fine-tuning capacity, driving continuous improvement in production processes, and managing an expansion of production facilities. Additionally, the Operations Director / General Manager will oversee health, safety, and environmental initiatives, as well as recruitment efforts to maintain a skilled workforce in the current competitive labour market. The successful candidate will collaborate with shift managers, the production manager, and cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency are met. They will also work closely with customers to address any concerns and ensure continued business growth.
