Job Title: Senior Town Planner
Location: Tunbridge Wells office
Role Type: Permanent, full-time role (9am-5:30pm)

Job Overview:
A Senior Planner is needed to provide professional planning advice to external clients and multidisciplinary teams. This role involves preparing and managing a variety of planning applications while carrying a personal caseload with guidance from the team leader. The projects range from major residential and commercial developments to smaller rural schemes.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Degree in a relevant planning or related discipline (RTPI accredited)
2. Chartered membership of RTPI is desirable; eligibility for membership will be considered
3. Experience in development planning or management, ideally in public or private sectors
4. Strong technical ability with a solid understanding of current planning issues
5. Excellent written, verbal, numerical, and organizational skills
6. Good team collaboration skills
7. Commitment to delivering projects with attention to detail
8. Commercial focus
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with the planning team to deliver a range of Planning and Development projects
2. Produce and review high-quality planning reports, including development appraisals and planning statements
3. Manage and negotiate planning submissions while collaborating with other disciplines
4. Provide planning support across the business
5. Handle client accounts with a strong focus on client care
6. Assist in preparing fee proposals and tenders
7. Build relationships to identify new work opportunities for the planning team
8. Think creatively and logically to develop effective planning strategies
9. Monitor project finances, control documents, and report on progress
10. Attend events and meetings as required, including occasional out-of-hours commitments

1. Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
2. Full driving license and access to a vehicle
