We’re proud of our bespoke package that sets Salford above the rest and the careers that our newly qualified social workers achieve with us. Our newly qualified social workers can choose which teams they would like to work on based on their interests. Alongside your team, you will be supported by a specific Advanced Social Worker and Team Manager specifically for our newly qualified social workers to provide extra 1 to 1 support and guidance.
Our offer to you:
* Specialised 3-week induction period to get to know your colleagues and Salford as a whole.
* Individualised support starting from your induction which includes additional 1 to 1 support with visits, assessments, supervision, and ongoing mentoring.
* Protected time for 1 training day per month specifically for newly qualified social workers alongside our training package for practitioners across all levels.
* Protected caseloads which are reviewed on a monthly basis.
* Access to resources, books and opportunities for tools training and training specific to you.
* Up to 34 days holiday a year (plus bank holidays).
* Free parking.
* Hybrid working giving flexibility for you to manage your diary and offer a better work/life balance.
You will be responsible for:
* Building trusted relationships while making sure peoples wishes, feelings and beliefs are central to decision making.
* Having conversations with people based on what matters most to them.
* Connecting people to wider networks of opportunity and support.
* Increasing people’s creative potential and self-esteem.
* Responding quickly to crisis and sticking with children and families until things are better.
* Keeping in touch with children, young people and families and taking a genuine interest in how they are and if anything needs to change.
* Being ambitious, curious with a desire to learn and reflect.
