Salary:£54,793 +depending on experience

Whatyou’ll be doing: •Understanding and capturing device and system controlrequirements •Develop Functional Architecture and interfacedefinition •Produce control model concepts, then detailed designmodels and testharnesses •Verify and Validate textual requirements in preparationfor delivery •Documenting thedesign •Contributing to safety analysis of theproducts •Maintain consistent communication across the AVC ‘OneTeam’ construct •Develop and harmonise processes in line with Maritimeand Air Sectorpolicies •Capture Learning From Experience(LFE) •Leading or coaching other team members in theabove •Managing the teamtasking Yourskills and experiences: Essential: •Demonstrable knowledge of the system engineeringlifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practicesto your work •Considerable experience in Mechanical, Actuation,Control or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in a marine oraerospace application, or in a similar engineering or technologyfocussed industry
•Competence in Mathworks tools to apply Model-basedsystems engineering principles, tools and techniques (primarilySimulink and itsTest)
•Capable in Microsoft Office packages and an ability todevelop competence with more specialist toolsets asnecessary •Ability to effectively research system design data andapply to complexproblems •Requirements maturation Experience within the systemsengineering lifecycle Desirable: Demonstrable experience ofany the following:
• Modelling and simulation of both classical andadvanced controlsystems
• System testing and qualificationprocesses • Safety engineering and its application to systemdesign and assurance
• A background in developing products within the broadersystems engineeringlifecycle
• Knowledge and experience of other system modelling andsimulation toolsets; including other Mathworks tools, DOORs, SCADE,SySML • Engineering Project Management including AGILE workingawareness The ideal candidate should have experience across theEngineering Lifecycle, with Flight, Marine, or Mission Systemsknowledge being desirable. They should possess an understanding ofsoftware development, modeling, and simulation, along with awillingness to learn new skills, concepts, and MBSE approaches.Strong communication skills are essential.
