Hills Quarry Products have an opportunity available for a Concrete Operations Assistant to join our team at our concrete plant in Swindon. About the role: As our Concrete Operations Assistant, reporting to the concrete plant manager, you will operate mobile plant loading aggregate into the concrete plant in the correct and safe manner required. The role may be needed to provide relief cover at our other concrete plant sites. Your key responsibilities as our Concrete Operations Assistant will include: Taking samples of concrete production and to prepare these samples for testing. Operate the batching plant and to load delivery vehicles. Travel to customers’ sites to obtain samples of concrete and to conduct slump tests and to make and prepare concrete cubes for testing. Ensure that the plant is sufficiently stocked with all “approved” materials in order to fulfil the customers’ requirements. What we’re looking for in our Concrete Operations Assistant: Operator’s licence to work with mobile plant - Telehandler essential Experience of working with ready mixed concrete. Ability to take samples of concrete for testing. Provide relief cover for the Plant Manager when needed. Full UK Driving licence and own vehicle. LGV/Class 2 licence would be an advantage.
