We provide specialist education and care for deaf young people across the United Kingdom. Our students range from 5 to 25 years old and the majority of them also have additional needs. We operate a broad and enriched curriculum, tailored to student’s individual needs. Each student is supported to achieve their learning potential as part of our bilingual learning environment.

We are looking to recruit talented and energetic teaching professionals to provide our school students with the education they deserve. We are very keen to hear from those with a background and expertise in SEND as these students have complex and additional needs alongside Deafness. The post holder will need to demonstrate a commitment to learning BSL.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver a sequence of learning, following objectives below the national curriculum.
* Plan, deliver and assess a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential through the delivery of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum including bespoke timetables where necessary.
* Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and behaviour within the Academy.
* Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviours, which are expected of students.
* Build good working relationships with the whole team including being able to identify opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Experience of effective support for learners with complex needs.
* Experience of planning and delivering successful teaching that improves outcomes for learners.
* Ability to form and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, colleagues, parents and other professionals.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within the Academy and other professionals.
* Ability to use positive behaviour management strategies to ensure best outcomes for students.
