Job Purpose: The workshop fitter is to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and efficiency of equipment and machinery within a workshop or onshore environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining productivity and minimising downtime through proactive maintenance and repair activities. You also may provide training and support to other workshop staff and apprentices on proper equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols. Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, repair and maintenance on FoundOcean equipment’s inclusive mixers, pumps, winches and silos. Inspect mixer mechanical/electrical components to assess works required and to diagnose faults and remedies required. Repair or replace broken or defective parts and resolve defects. Carry out required function testing of equipment’s. Assist in mobilisation and set up of all plant and equipment. Work under the supervision of FoundOcean Workshop Manager Supporting our apprenticeship program Complete all service sheets and associated paperwork as required. Carry out basic fabrication skills including small welding tasks. Be prepared to occasionally deploy to various sites to carry out maintenance and repair activities. Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment by knowi8ng, understanding, communicating to ensure compliance with the safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and Code) and Companies safety policies and procedure concerning maintenance and repair activities. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Skills required: Good verbal communication skills Excellent organisational skills. Ability to work to tight timescales and complete a work plan unsupervised. Experience of electrically powered plant, pneumatic controls and hydraulics.
