Reed Warrington & Widnes are exclusively recruiting for a leading healthcare client located in Widnes. My client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Secretary, initially on a temporary basis, for the successful candidate there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.
The successful candidate will have previous secretarial experience, ideally in a healthcare setting, and be available immediately.
* Salary: £23,693
* Working hours, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00 with 30 minutes for lunch -Free lunch available every day from the canteen)
* Due to the nature of the role all 5 days are office based – No Hybrid working available
* DBS required – Reed will process DBS application
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support within a leading specialist unit. The ideal candidate will have a secretarial background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
Duties:
* Receive, record, and type documents, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
* Provide a confidential and efficient secretarial and administrative service.
* Ensure all documentation meets the unit’s standards.
* Attend and minute meetings as required.
* Establish and maintain high-standard office practices and procedures.
* Maintain specified records to support tasks and monitor progress.
* Cover Reception duties as needed.
* Attend relevant department meetings and training events.
* Manage schedules of the director you are supporting
* Typing Dictations, audio typing, good typing speed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Secretarial qualification and/or experience.
* Audio-typing experience is desirable.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
