Stirling Council are looking for an Appropriate Adult to join us in delivering an Appropriate Adult Service across Forth Valley, working on a supply basis (as and when required). Appropriate Adults provide communication support to those with a mental disorder, aged 16 and over during police processes or investigations. Applicants therefore with the following experience are welcome to apply:
* Experience (in a professional, voluntary or personal capacity) of working with
Adults who have: a mental illness, learning disability, dementia, Autism/ADHD and/or acquired brain injuries or related conditions.
* Experience of assisting vulnerable adults with communication support.
The hourly rate of pay is £15.72 and you will be paid a monthly retainer fee of £150.,
* Full Training and Support (consistently throughout the year once established in the role too)

* Ability to partake in national discussions/forums
* Supervision
* Mental Health Support if required
Please note: there are no guaranteed hours with this position, Appropriate Adults are used as and when required by the police.
The successful candidate must be flexible with their availability. This means they must be available to cover frequent day shifts and night shifts too.
