Job Purpose: The Impact and Performance Manager: Inclusive Innovation (IPM) role involves evaluating and monitoring the progress of Innovate UK's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Programmes. Reporting to the EDI Change Manager, this position involves cross-team collaboration to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the value of EDI initiatives. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Programme evaluation (approximately 60% of the role) Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Innovate UK, such as Economics and Insights, Appraisal and Evaluation, Impact Management, Innovation Systems Lead evaluation activities (qualitative and quantitative) for EDI Programmes, including collection, analysis and interpretation of data, providing in-depth portfolio analysis and identifying trends and actionable insights Develop and manage a dashboard to track programme impacts and monitor outputs Drive programme improvement, offering strategic recommendations for the continuous improvement of EDI programmes, ensuring alignment with overarching goals and objectives Drive the development and implementation of process mapping to ensure standardisation across programme activities. Curate and sustain a robust evidence base to support the ongoing development and evaluation of EDI programmes, ensuring data-driven decision-making Manage the collection and reporting of EDI data, both internally and externally, while ensuring adherence to data protection and privacy regulations Identify case studies and success stories from EDI Programmes, coordinating with the Reach and Engagement team to effectively communicate these successes Design and deliver a comprehensive impact reporting and publication strategy targeting both internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with other Innovate UK and UKRI reporting frameworks Programme delivery (approximately 40% of the role) Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Operations, Monitoring Services Providers (MSPs) and Project Participants Co-ordinate with MSPs, providing a point of escalation for issues and concerns Address project issues, queries and complaints, directing them to appropriate internal parties and resolving as necessary Ensure accuracy in project participant’s reports, with attention to forecasting and claims Participate in project meetings and visits as required Advise internal teams, MSPs, IGSs, and award holders on ensuring accessible and inclusive processes for customers, including reasonable adjustments post-award Support project setup and closure to ensure timely completion and support competition processes, such as MSP allocation, grant pre-payments and Project Change Requests This is not an exhaustive list and there will be opportunities to engage in various tasks and professional development as part of the team. Innovate UK staff make extensive use of telepresence tools for meetings to minimise unnecessary travel. In general, you will need to work in the Swindon office once a week and may have four to six nights away from home per month on average to attend conferences and events.
