Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor - Intermediate to Senior Level Location: London & Surrounding Areas Salary: Negotiable (Contract or Permanent) Company Overview: Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor known for delivering complex, high-value projects across London and the South East. With project values currently ranging from £3 million to £25 million, they work with both main contractors and end clients to deliver full design & build packages, high-end commercial fit-outs, and large-scale installations. Position Overview: They are looking to appoint an M&E Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running, commercially manage projects from pre-construction through to final account, and work closely with project and operational teams to ensure commercial success. Key Responsibilities: Full commercial responsibility on M&E projects from £3m to £25m Procurement and management of subcontractor packages Measurement, valuations, and managing applications for payment Cost tracking, CVRs, and reporting to senior leadership Support in value engineering and change management Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain positive working relationships Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed proactively Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within the building services industry Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical packages Comfortable working independently or as part of a team on complex projects Strong commercial acumen and contract knowledge (JCT/NEC) Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Contract Type & Benefits: Permanent or Contract positions available - we'll work around your preference PAYE or Self-Employed options available For PAYE staff: Pension (3% employer contribution) after 3 months Paid holiday entitlement Competitive, negotiable salary High-value, prestigious projects Career progression within a growing business Supportive and technically strong team environment
