Role Summary and Purpose
The goal of the Branch Manager is to oversee the technical rate and capacity determination processes, see where we generate quality submissions and price business at the higher of market or technical without damaging the long-term client relationship. Extensive travel is expected for this position.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Underwriting: Understand client company underwriting philosophyUnderstand coverage and risk hazardsApply Arch underwriting philosophy to risk analysis approach for technical rate determinationApply Arch risk appetite philosophy for capacity determination
2. Marketing: Execute branch marketing planUnderstand individual client company operating goals and structureDevelop senior client relationshipsProvide timely and quality serviceDetermine and negotiate market price, terms and conditions
3. Management: Attract and retain a superior employee base by providing leadership and performance management, promoting teamwork and providing a conducive office environment for all employees.
4. Managing the Business: Efficient in processAppropriate with ExpensesEnhance Arch UK Regional and your own reputation in the marketplace
5. Internal/External Relationships Frequent contact with staff and technical support unit, to clarify and obtain information.

Skills / Competencies
Extensive Commercial Insurance experience from either a Sales Distribution or Underwriting background. With exposure to Leadership.

7. Currently working in the market with a good track record and have excellent current contacts with both direct clients and brokers in the regional insurance market.
8. Proven ability to market to senior individuals in the industry
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with management at a senior level
