Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor\nLocation: Oxford (Student Accommodation Project)\nDuration: Initially 5-6 months, with potential for long-term extension based on performance\nPay rate: Dependant on experience\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Manage the finishing programme for individual blocks and liaise daily with the main contractor.\n\n * Attend daily briefings with the main contractor to ensure smooth project progress.\n\n * Assist in ensuring the mechanical services are installed to a high standard, with some assistance in electrical works.\n\n * Complete quality documentation, including sign-offs and ITPs, using a digital system on a tablet.\n\n * Assist in managing health and safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.\n\n * Utilize Openspace camera to capture site progress weekly.\n\n * Ensure that stores are maintained, and materials are readily available for contractors to progress their work.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\n * Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor role, ideally with experience on student accommodation or similar projects.\n\n * Strong understanding of mechanical systems and some experience or willingness to assist with electrical systems.\n\n * Ability to work collaboratively with other mechanical and electrical supervisors on-site.\n\n * Experience with quality assurance and ensuring services are installed to high standards.\n\n * Familiarity with health and safety practices and regulations, including conducting toolbox talks.\n\n * Experience with using digital systems for managing quality documentation, including sign-offs and ITPs.\n\n * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with contractors, stakeholders, and the main contractor.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Valid SMSTS/SSSTS card.\n\n * Strong supervisory skills and experience in managing a team of operatives.\n\n * Ability to manage project schedules and oversee the finishing programme for mechanical installations.\n\n * A proactive approach to ensuring materials are available and the project progresses smoothly.\n\n * Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to handle site issues effectively.\n\nProcess:\n\n * Apply for the job.\n\n * We will then call you to discuss the role.\n\n * If we think you would be a good fit and you’re happy, we will submit you to be considered for the role.\n\n * If the client likes the sound of you, they will invite you for an interview.\n\n * If successful in the interview process, you will be offered the job
