The Job: Reporting to Senior Management, you will be responsible for the driving of performance and quality standards whilst complying with third-party auditing bodies and customer requirements. Key duties include and ae not limited to: - Work with the Factory Manager to implement daily and weekly production. - Implement existing SOPs ensuring food safety, quality management and HACCP implementation. - Oversee production schedules set out by factory manager and production supervisor. - Supervise a production team ensuring they work effectively and efficiently to complete daily and weekly production plans. - Manage any issues, reporting to factory manager/production supervisor. - Specifically ensure compliance to the following legislation or standards Health & Safety Executive, Food Standards Agency, Trading Standards, SALSA, Environmental Health and any other bodies including customers which deems relevant. - Take overall responsibility for accuracy and legibility of all traceability and essential paperwork. - Ensure all quality and pre check start-ups have been completed as well as after shift production logs to be completed. - Support staff development through SOP development, training, team briefs and feedback. - Run production lines as required. Preferred Experience: - Food Industry experience - Can evidence team leading experience - Food hygiene level 2 or equivalent - Level 2 HACCP certified and level 2 in Health and safety Summary: You will be able to communicate effectively across all levels of business, both up and down. A hands-on, can-do attitude is essential whilst setting an example as a leader. Driving standards in all areas of the business. A 6-month progression plan to be implemented by management to help develop the candidate. This development plan will also be used as a cross reference to the 6-month probation period.
