Our client is a pioneering professional membership body working within the oil and gas sector - they are now looking for a Senior Editorial Manager to oversee the editorial department's operations, leading a team of Editorial Managers and content creators to deliver high quality content across their website, publications, standards and research papers.
The Senior Editorial Manager will come with a strong background in professional publishing and expert leadership skills, this is a highly strategic role working with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver impactful content which align with the company's brand voice, strategic goals and needs of their audience. Key responsibilities include:
1. Lead and manage a team, setting clear goals, expectations and KPIs
2. Develop and implement editorial strategies that align with the organisations brand and strategic goals
3. Oversee planning of a wide range of content including publications, articles, reports, white papers, blog posts, newsletters and multimedia assets
4. Manage multiple content projects and oversee the editorial calendar
5. Serve as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders
6. Maintain communications with authors and project stakeholders, managing the publishing project timelines
7. Develop internal processes for document development
The successful candidate will have strong experience in editorial or content management with proven experience in a senior or managerial role. Superb project management skills are essential, as well as proficiency in content management systems, SEO, analytics tools and project management tools and methodologies. Excellent leadership skills are essential with a strong track record in developing high-performing teams. The successful candidate will be adaptable, agile and innovative with a proactive approach to improving processes and quality of content. Experience in a b2b or professional publishing environment would be an advantage, as well as any experience within the oil and gas industry.
