Grimsby Salvation Army are looking for a Cafe Supervisor to help run their community cafe. We have transformed the original 1888 site into a community café with conference and training rooms available for hire. We also have nearby gardens for growing fruit and vegetables, and we're developing a contemplation tea garden to enhance the café experience. The Salvation Army on Duncombe Street is promoting its café to corps (church) members, the general public, and local organisations in Grimsby, highlighting the benefits of our versatile space for community use. Cup of Joy Café is a light and airy space at our Corps (Church) site. We serve drinks, light lunches and home baking. Everyone is welcome, especially those from the local community. We want to create an environment where people of all ages can come together, share their life experiences, and enjoy each other's company. You will/may be able to demonstrate: Experience of running a catering outlet or hospitality service Knowledge of health and hygiene legislation (training also given) A patient manner, able to support people who may appear confused or have difficulty communicating to enjoy the café (training given) Experience of working with volunteers in a catering setting Ability to present food in an attractive and enticing manner Ability to manage a till and contactless card payment system (training given) In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
