We are looking for a Service Technician to help provide a first-class service to customers within the Leicester area.
Your Role:
As a Service Technician, you’ll be tasked with delivering an effective and timely maintenance service to customers.
Specifically, after training you will undertake planned preventative maintenance, repairs, field modifications, and support at the delivery stage to customers who have purchased a Medstrom product.
Dealing with customers based throughout Leicester, you will:
1. Deliver clean, ready-to-use products to and around customer sites
2. Collect products after use and return to the service location for decontamination
3. Disinfect, function check, repair, and electrical safety test products
4. Complete records of testing, delivery, and collection
5. Maintain available product stock and spare parts inventory
6. Complete product modifications when required
7. Provide product demonstrations and basic training to staff
8. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment

As part of your role, you will be required to take part in an on-call rota once fully trained (with additional payment).
Working hours are 37.5 per week, either working a Tuesday to Saturday shift or a Sunday to Thursday shift.
Experience Needed:
To join us as a Service Technician, you will need or be willing to develop:
Qualifications and experience requirements:
1. Mechanical or electrical background desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
2. Experience of working within a healthcare setting is desirable
3. A full UK driving licence required (we use long wheelbase vans, but training and support to build confidence in manoeuvring these vehicles will be provided if required)
4. Knowledge of Medstrom and/or other medical device manufacturers’ products would be desirable, but not essential
Personal Requirements:
1. Able to communicate effectively
2. Ability to work under own initiative, and follow procedures laid out by the business to achieve deadlines
3. Basic knowledge of hygiene, health and safety rules
4. Basic PC skills including email and MS Office
5. A DBS check (or willingness to complete one)
