About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Risk Analyst to join us in our Economic (Financial) Crime Oversight team on a 12 month basis.
This is a great role for someone with substantial economic crime risk management expertise, who can confidently act as a subject matter expert, engaging positively with key stakeholders and keeping pace with a changing internal and external landscape.
The role includes being an expert for the Economic Crime Oversight team on the business wide Economic Crime Risk Assessment as well as taking primary responsibility for performing and maintaining the risk assessment and supporting with identifying action plans where required. It will also lead our economic crime risk and controls communications with stakeholders across the Society assisting them in identifying, assessing and managing economic crime risk.
The Senior Risk Analyst is also responsible for ensuring that the Society’s economic crime risk management Policies and Standards remain effective and compliant and assisting with governance reporting in relation to economic crime matters.

About you
For this role you’ll bring strong knowledge from the Economic Crime space, with practical experience of working in a risk or advisory role. You’ll be passionate about maintaining knowledge and understanding of the internal and external environments to continue to meet the demands of the continually evolving landscape.
To be successful in this role it's essential you have:
* Strong, recent risk assessment experience from an Economic Crime environment within financial services
* Evidence of working with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to persuade and influence
* Good demonstrable analytical skills with the ability to produce quality reporting
* Experience of analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
* Good communication and strong decision making skills
Desirable experience needed will be:
* Experience in controls testing in an Economic Crime role
* An understanding of SQL/SAS code (or similar)
* Professional qualification(s) in risk management, compliance or audit
