Job Description:
Are you a Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, or Sales Executive looking for the next step? We have an exciting opportunity for a BDM to join a leading supplier within their sector to expand their customer account base.
You'll act as a primary point of contact, engaging directly with clients, understanding their unique needs in the off-grid sector, and driving sales growth. You'll combine a proactive sales approach with exceptional relationship management skills to deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve ambitious targets within this specialised market to a worldwide customer base. A competitive salary from £40,000 per annum is on offer, partnered with a great culture and environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identify New Business Opportunities: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, focusing on B2B/Trade accounts.
2. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within client organisations.
3. On-Site Engagement: Conduct regular face-to-face meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations at client locations to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
4. Account Management: Manage a portfolio of key trade accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving repeat business.
5. Customer Onboarding: Oversee the smooth and efficient onboarding process for new trade clients.
6. Account Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with overall sales objectives and business goals.
7. Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and address any potential issues.
8. Market Intelligence: Gather and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
Communication and Collaboration:
1. Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, internal teams (including customer support), and management.
2. Provide timely and accurate sales reports and forecasts.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, customer service, etc.) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and best practices.
5. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of innovative sales strategies.
6. Contribute to a culture of customer-focused improvement.
Skills and Attributes required:
* Proven success in B2B/Trade sales.
* Knowledge of battery systems, off-grid, or solar PV systems.
* Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Proficiency in IT systems (e.g., Shopify, Zendesk, Google).
