Technical Lead (Electrical / Control Systems)
Bristol
Up to £60k
Who Are We?
Since our UK launch in 2021, we’ve grown from a two-person start-up to a thriving team of eight, with our turnover soaring from £2.36m in our first year to a projected £7.5m in Year 4. We’re on an exciting trajectory and need the right people to help us continue this journey.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to revolutionise fire safety by combining top-tier products with unmatched expertise. We’re committed to compliance, innovation, and customer education, offering industry-leading training and solutions that set new standards in the construction sector.
What We Do
We provide cutting-edge fire safety ventilation products, including Fire Dampers, Smoke Control Dampers, and Control Systems. Manufactured to the highest standards in our Czech facility, these products are designed to ensure compliance and safety across the UK construction industry.
Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to take a pivotal role in a rapidly growing company. As our Technical Lead, you’ll be the go-to expert for electrical and control systems, supporting both our customers and internal teams. You’ll tackle a variety of responsibilities, from reviewing technical specifications and providing guidance to delivering CPD training and driving product innovation.
Your role will touch every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial quotes to post-completion support, making it as diverse as it is impactful. Whether you’re liaising with contractors, solving complex challenges, or helping shape the future of our product offerings, you’ll play a critical part in our success story.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone with an electrical background or experience with control systems, who’s eager to grow into a leadership role. You’ll need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and a great communicator, able to explain technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
Some key responsibilities include:
1. Review control system specifications and provide essential details to our estimating team and controls partner, ensuring quotes are compliant and advising customers on compliance solutions when needed.
2. Work closely with our controls partner to solve technical challenges and offer internal technical support across the business, ensuring smooth project delivery.
3. Become the go-to point of contact for customers on control systems, delivering your technical expertise and providing exceptional support every step of the way.
4. Forge strong, long-term relationships with customers—most of our business is from repeat clients—ensuring they continue to rely on us for all their fire safety needs.
We value problem-solvers who thrive on learning and adapting. If you have experience in the fire safety, HVAC, or construction industries, that’s a bonus—but what matters most is your potential and willingness to make a difference.
What We Offer
This isn’t just a job; it’s a career with room to grow. You’ll enjoy a competitive salary of up to £60k (BOE) with performance bonuses, 25 holidays plus bank holidays, and a supportive, collaborative environment.
We’ll invest in your professional development with formal training and opportunities to visit our manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic.
Based in our Aztec West office, you’ll also benefit from free parking, a company laptop and phone, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a business that values your input.
Take the Leap
If you’re ready to join a team that’s passionate about changing the face of fire safety in the UK, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you’re unsure you meet every requirement, get in touch—sometimes, the right attitude is more important than ticking every box.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take—don’t miss this one.
