Job Title: Associate Director
Reporting to: Director
Location: 3 days in Belfast office (121 Donegall Road); 2 days working from home
Salary: £55k+ (dependent on experience)

Purpose:
You will play a senior role in leading the delivery of client services, ensuring high-quality work, and advising on strategy and tactics. You will also contribute significantly to business development, including acquiring new clients, networking, and marketing activities.
With at least 10 years of experience in public affairs, government, and media relations, you will have your own networks within political, business, and media circles. You will also be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in leading and motivating colleagues.
You will drive new business opportunities, consistently creating additional revenue for the agency, and engage with leadership teams in London and Edinburgh to support business growth across the group.
Responsibilities:
* Leading and managing client account teams
* Providing senior-level consultancy across a wide range of clients
* Driving business development activities
* Leading key products and services, such as events, political intelligence, and media strategies
* Taking on line management and mentoring roles
* Contributing to the management and development of the Belfast office
Skills and Experience Required:
* Around 8 years of experience in public affairs, civil service, public relations consultancy, Journalism or related fields (e.g., as a political adviser)
* Experience working at Account Director level or equivalent, with the ability to demonstrate both core competencies and additional leadership expertise
* A proven track record in corporate leadership, including management or board-level experience
* In-depth knowledge of UK and Ireland political processes, including interactions with the media, think tanks, and business sectors
* Established networks that you can leverage and expand for the benefit of the business
* A proven ability to identify and generate new business opportunities and revenue streams
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to write, speak, and present to a high standard
* Experience managing multiple priorities and relationships, remaining adaptable under pressure and meeting deadlines
* Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams
* Commercial awareness, including a solid understanding of budgeting and financial management
