We are seeking a Team Leader within the Counter Fraud team to be a pro-active thinker who is highly motivated and leads from the front.
Leading a team of experienced Counter Fraud Claims Handlers to achieve first-class quality and technical claims handling. You will drive our culture of openness and hold responsibility for the development and people management aspects of your team.
Location: Liverpool or Sevenoaks with hybrid working
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Between £33,000 and £42,000 DOE plus £2500 annual bonus potential achieved quarterly.
What you will be doing:
1. Drive Claims Fraud strategies and initiatives in line with agreed processes and maximize benefits to the business, reporting and control of management information.
2. Be responsible for all types of fraud workstream and ensure that these are investigated, validated, and controlled within the agreed SLA.
3. Contribute towards the continuous improvement and development of the team/department and identify any possible process improvements and initiatives to drive quality referrals into the team.
4. Ensure strict adherence to company policies regarding Consumer Duty, GDPR, and FCA compliance.
5. Accountability for the team's performance against set objectives.
6. Performance management of staff, dealing with all aspects of people management including quality auditing, absence, holidays, and time management, monthly one-on-ones, performance reviews, training and development, disciplinary procedures, and staff welfare.
7. Maximize the imparting of technical knowledge to the team by way of mentoring and coaching.
8. Keep abreast of relevant technical and market developments.
9. Effectively communicate through engagement and collaboration with team members and the wider business.
10. Assist with ad-hoc tasks as the business needs dictate.
What we’re looking for:
1. Extensive motor insurance experience and claims fraud technical handling capability in all fraud typologies.
2. Claims fraud litigation and fraud trials experience.
3. Extensive claims fraud strategies and initiatives.
4. A detailed understanding of the intelligence and investigative tools available to validate claims.
5. Ability to build relationships with external suppliers to assist with the development of ongoing and future strategies.
6. Ability to positively influence team members through a culture of openness, trust, and respect to achieve optimum performance.
7. Clear, focused, and determined approach to problem-solving.
8. Effective communicator at all levels of the business.
9. Highly motivated self-starter.
