As General Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and enhancing the standards and reputation of our gym, while growing a dedicated membership base and team. The Role: Leadership : Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the gym, creating an environment that motivates and inspires both staff and members. Commercial Performance : Oversee and drive the commercial performance of the business, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded. Operational Excellence : Ensure operational excellence by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. KPI Delivery : Achieve and surpass set KPIs to ensure the gym's success and growth. Team Development : Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, leading them to achieve individual and collective success. Full-Time Responsibility : This full-time position requires owning the day-to-day running of the business, with a focus on all sales and operational processes. Detail-Oriented Management : Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks. Sales and Operational Processes : Lead the team in all sales and operational processes, aiming for excellence in every aspect. Responsibilities: Ambassador for Fitness : Represent allGym as an ambassador for fitness, showcasing our elevated ways of working. Revenue Lines : Drive all revenue lines from membership sales to product and secondary sales, aiming to maximise profitability. Cost Management : Effectively manage controllable costs. Member Interaction : Lead by example on reception and the gym floor, enhancing every member's visit. Process Adherence : Ensure central processes are followed and delivered to the highest standard. Team Recruitment and Development : Lead the recruitment, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members. Operational Consistency : Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed to a high standard using our in-house systems. Constructive Feedback : Provide honest, constructive feedback regularly to support team members in achieving their potential. Facilities & Maintenance : Report facilities and maintenance issues in line with best practice guidelines. Rota Management : Manage club rota based on budgets, ensuring fully trained team members are always on site. Resilience and Agility : React to challenging situations with resilience and find effective solutions. Policy and Procedure Management : Manage all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and pool plant operations. Cleanliness Standards : Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation, whether on shift or not. The Candidate: Proven Management Experience : Minimum of 5 years proven demonstrated successful management experience within the leisure or fitness industry. Customer Service Passion : A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and an inspirational leadership style. Qualified Instructor : Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor. Sales and Marketing Expertise : Proven track record in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activities, along with experience in recruiting and managing a successful team. Operational Experience : Experience as a General Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility, or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager.
