Job Description Tasks and Duties Ensure timely and accurate receiving, locating and sending of freight and information, conforming to safety standards and requirements as set by Expeditors. This section lists job-specific tasks and duties, such as the ones listed below, that are completed on a regular basis. Coordinate all work activities relating to processing freight flow (in- & outbound); Receive goods and check freight for correct quantity, quality and possible damages. Container off loading and palletisation Picking, checking and loading pallets for outgoing freight Good knowledge of handling various internal means of transport ; Loading and unloading of trucks by use of a forklift and/or electric pump trucks; Create OSD reports and ensure correct completion; Checking cargo manifests and assign to the Warehouse Agent Senior or Lead; Perform double checks on the freight, ULDs, references & AWB numbers; Perform Dangerous Goods and/or Lithium checks (if in possession of IATA DG Certificate); Different contouring, such as building and breaking down of ULDs; Adhere to security and compliance rules as set up by Expeditors; Ensure a safe work environment Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedure Maintain a clean work environment, all transport systems, storage areas, work places. Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations Escalation of problems to Management when necessary Physical Demands This section lists physical demands required of this job; Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc. Write with pencil/pen/marker Functions performed primarily on a Forklift Truck and standing. Manual handling of work in warehouse and distribution centre. It involves the physical movement of materials, including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, and moving objects without the aid of machinery.
