Main duties of the job To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in Critical Care for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy. Part of your responsibilities will be to evaluate the effectiveness and the standard of care planning and delivery and to use the results to work with the team to improve patient outcomes. Within their leadership role they will be responsible for providing feedback and evaluation of practice to team members both through yearly appraisals and clinical practice. S/he will be expected to play a proactive role in quality and service improvement, this will include active participation in Critical Care based patient safety projects and work to engage patients and their families. You will require good communication skills and a team work approach to succeed.
