Commercial Vehicle IVI and DI Systems Engineer - Inside IR35
Our automotive OEM Client based in Dunton, Essex are searching for a Commercial Vehicle IVI and DI Systems Engineer to join their innovative team. This position will start in January 2025 and is a 12-month rolling contract (renewal date 31st December 2025 with option of further extensions).
Umbrella Pay Rate: £29.14 per hour rising to £35.15 per hour after 13 weeks.
Job Description
Lead the To4 (Team of four) meetings with Finance, Cost Estimating, Commodity- and Program Purchasing Provide the engineering perspective for supplier selection by purchase Prepare Engineering Statement of Work (ESOW), the specifications, the Engineering concept and Attachment 3 as input to the RFQ pack and provide input to the ASAP tool and support cost negotiations between Purchasing and Supplier. Adhere to GPDS process and related program timings & document deliverables. Lead appropriate Antenna PMST, support other PMSTs and interfacing activities and represent in PMT Support Program Reviews Ensure compliance to all applicable requirements Support Global Core teams with initiatives from Benchmarking events o Agile software delivery of software collaborated with in-house/external supplier for IVI and DI parts. Manage the Supplier for development of Antenna and/or associated interfaces and support the application into Vehicle Programs and ensure support for Program Launch. Experience Required
Knowledge of Transit vehicle Electrical Systems and Components is an advantage. Competent in engineering tools such as CANalyser/Diagnostics/CaNoe/ADB/WinSCP. Proficient in CAN tools/diagnostics debug tools (ETH/CAN) (preferred). Strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail and excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to demonstrate use of initiative, perseverance and liaison skills Experience working within global teams and strong IT skills, including JIRA, Excel, Teamcenter, WERS. A full UK driving licence is required. Education Required
A degree in Engineering, ideally Electrical, Electronics, or Computing
