Workshop Manager
On offer is the opportunity to join a growing Substation Business Unit who specialise in control systems, Aureos. Aureos’ aim is to work in partnership with the client in the design, management, and installation and commissioning of Control and Protection systems, meeting the high expectations of today’s marketplace.
The Role
As the Workshop Manager / Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the production and design of control panels, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget. You will manage a skilled team of panel wirers and engineers, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring smooth and efficient production.
* Manage and lead a team of panel wirers, ensuring high-quality output.
* Plan and schedule workloads to meet customer deadlines and project requirements.
* Work closely with the design team to ensure panels meet specifications and industry standards.
* Implement and maintain health & safety protocols within the workshop.
* Manage stock levels, procurement, and supplier relationships.
* Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Provide technical guidance and training to the team as needed.
* Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a similar role within panel wiring, electrical manufacturing, or control panel production.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Hands-on experience with control panel wiring and electrical assembly.
* Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring regulations, and industry standards.
* Ability to manage production schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
* A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
