Our Autism School in Blandford Forum, Dorset is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team in the primary setting. This is a full-time role, with an immediate start available. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide general support to students with Autism, helping them to engage with the curriculum, develop their social and emotional skills, and achieve their full potential. You will be working closely with a supportive team to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment for all students. Key Responsibilities: Provide general classroom support to students with Autism in a primary setting. Assist students in their learning, helping them to engage with activities and complete tasks. Support students in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills. Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualized learning plans. Help to manage classroom behavior and create a safe and positive learning environment. Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with Autism is preferred, but not essential. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
