Brief:
Are you an experienced Lead P6 Planner looking for your next challenge? We have an opportunity for you working on one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in the UK focusing on the mechanical and electrical aspects of the project in a lead position.
The Role:
You'll be working on HS2 across various M&E assets across four ventilation tunnels. For this role, you will be responsible for managing the M&E projects, developing the P6 program from its conception design to construction through the full P6 planning cycle in a lead capacity. This is a senior role, and previous experience managing large projects is essential for this position. Previous experience in an engineering role is extremely beneficial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acting as lead planner across HS2 Assets for M&E fit-out work across tunnels
2. Ability to understand engineering aspects of planning
3. Able to present work in a client-facing environment
4. Assist in the preparation of schedule data for contracts.
5. Work with the Contracts Managers to determine schedule rates for work activities and milestones to support the project schedule.
6. Establish work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects.
7. Attend programme & progress meetings with the Client.
8. Review and analyse the supplier's schedules submitted.
9. Familiar with Earned Value, Resourcing & progressing techniques.
10. Preparation of Project Changes, Budget allocations.
About You:
1. Experience as a Lead Planner managing multiple projects simultaneously
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in a P6 Planning role
3. Experience working on large packages of work/complex infrastructure projects valued at £7 million or more.
4. Tunnelling project experience highly advantageous
5. Background knowledge of Rail projects (essential)
6. Contractor-side experience
7. Background in engineering prior to planning
Interview Process:
This will be a one or two-stage process, starting with an initial Teams call followed by a face-to-face meeting. Alternatively, it will be a direct face-to-face meeting with interviews lasting approximately 90 minutes.
