Project Engineer - Stevenage
BIR is currently looking for a Project Engineer to work for one of our well-established RC Frame & Groundworks contractors in Stevenage. This is a brand new project starting the 2nd week of March 2025.
The successful candidate will be interviewed immediately.
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Carrying out all QA inspections (pre-pour, post pour checks) and keeping appropriate documentation.
2. Ensuring the site has the correct drawing.
3. Being able to raise RFI, NCR, etc.
4. Coordinating with main contractor representatives regarding inspections.
5. Calling off materials as required.
6. Ensuring site engineers carry out works as per programme and site plan.
7. Ensuring site engineers are using the most up-to-date drawings (this to be verified on a day-to-day basis).
8. Maintaining as-built records, RED Line drawings, and QA documentation.
9. Assisting site engineers and the site team as necessary.
Requirements:
To be successful in this Project Engineer role, you need to be:
1. CSCS card is required.
2. Previously worked as a Senior Site Engineer/Senior Engineer/Project Engineer.
3. Experienced in RC work and Groundwork - minimum 6 years.
4. Familiar with method statements and risk assessments, and have a sound knowledge of QA and onsite paperwork.
