Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Paediatric Team as a Sleep Practitioner. In this role, you will play a crucial part in improving the management of sleep difficulties in children and young people with significant neurodevelopmental difficulties and/or complex health needs/neuro disabilities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that melatonin is prescribed only to those who require it. The children referred to this service will already be on the caseload of a Community Paediatrician and will need more intensive input and support than what is currently available within existing community services. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist sleep assessments, support, and interventions to families of children with significant neurodevelopmental difficulties, neuro disabilities, and/or complex health care needs. Collaborate with Community Paediatricians to ensure comprehensive care. Develop and implement individualized sleep management plans. Educate families on sleep hygiene and effective sleep strategies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
