Project Manager - Infrastructure - Highways
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team.
You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks. Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsiding relocation.
1. Manage a section of works on a day-to-day basis including the supervision/monitoring of the site team/supply chain.
2. Prepare sequencing drawings.
3. Expected to drive programme and lead daily LEAN meetings.
4. Plan, control and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated.
5. Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team taking full ownership of the costs for the section of work assigned.
6. Ensure any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme or design) are captured and managed.
7. Understand any temporary works requirements.
8. Undertake value engineering solutions.
9. Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships.
10. Administer the cost forecast, valuation and reporting systems.
11. Implement and attend weekly and monthly site meetings.
12. Ensure all site team and supply chain are working to the latest design information.
13. Undertake material take offs where required and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled.
About You:
1. Able to manage multiple or larger packages of work.
2. Ability to read and interpret data, drawings specifications and schedules.
3. Highly organised and able to prioritise multiple workloads.
4. Adept at interfacing with site team, subcontractors, designer and the client.
5. Strong knowledge of CDM 15 and NEC.
6. Able to interpret, extract and disseminate works information relating to program of works.
7. Proven leadership and delegation skills.
8. Advanced problem-solving skills.
9. Aware of individual Health and Safety Responsibilities and adheres to company H&S policy and procedures.
10. Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the business values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.
11. Structures background required ideally with understanding of general highways works.
