THG Nutrition is truly global and in 2016 we built a 1 million sq.ft Production and Distribution centre in the North West to help bring our brand vision to life.
Our production business has gone from strength to strength since then, with the launch of a Production and Distribution centre in Poland and acquisitions of a further 4 UK Production facilities.
Each of our sites has a different specialism, but they all work to innovate and produce some of our award winning products.
Our mission is to differentiate ourselves from our competition by our vertically integrated D2C model, spanning sports nutrition, supplements, activewear and vegan products.
What will your day look like:
* Take responsibility for ensuring only product of the highest quality is produced as finished goods. Be responsible for stopping production if deemed necessary to take corrective action and achieve best quality of product.
* Supervising your team to constantly drive for improvement across all aspects, listening to and evaluating suggestions from staff to give constructive feedback and proposed feedback.
* Always seek to minimise waste & maximise outputs whilst achieving the best quality possible.
* Completing weekly rota and organising holiday/absence cover alongside the HR Co-ordinator. Organise daily break rota.
* Reporting and correcting, where possible, any breakdown/wastage issues.
* Leading the Engineering, Quality and Warehouse departments in the absence of the relevant managers to ensure production efficiency is maximised. Provide suggestions on ways of improving efficiency and reducing waste.
* Be responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety on shift.
* Ensuring all production paperwork is fully and correctly completed and closed off every day by passing on to Factory Administrator.
* Providing the Head of Operations with daily updates on performance, waste and any quality or Health & Safety issues as well as immediately reporting any issues leading to downtime of an hour or more.
* Printing off all daily process paperwork.
* Work effectively and cooperatively as a Line leader, ensuring effective communication with the team.
* Carry out any reasonable request.
* Respect and value other members of staff to create a positive working environment.
The right person for the role will have:
* Previous experience in a supervisory FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) role would be beneficial but not essential.
* Good levels of literacy & numeracy will be required for completion of paperwork, rota's etc.
* Basic computer skills to include word & basic spreadsheets.
* Level 3 Food Hygiene Award.
* IOSH Managing Safely or Level 3 Health and safety.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Flexibility with shifts to suit needs of the business.
