HR Business Partner Job Type: Temporary Contract Hourly Rate: £29.11 PAYE Location: Hybrid (60% in office) Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week (flexible hours between 7am and 5:30pm) We are seeking an HR Business Partner to provide comprehensive services to Senior Management, Officers of the Council, Elected Members, and partner organisations. This role involves proactive advice on workforce planning and transformation of services to achieve Council-wide objectives, driving continuous performance improvements, and ensuring alignment with the Council’s vision and priorities. Day-to-day of the role: Design workforce strategies and solutions to support the redesign and remodelling of services, fostering workforce cultural change. Lead and project manage high-level corporate initiatives to deliver the Council’s vision with a pragmatic and commercial focus. Ensure governance arrangements are adhered to within services, addressing matters of concern appropriately. Support business growth by directing the HR Service in line with strategic objectives. Act as the HR lead on various projects, supporting the Service Manager HR to achieve strategic objectives. Horizon scan to identify legislative changes early, ensuring the Council is well-prepared and the workforce is fit for the future. Contribute significantly to the delivery of the People Plan by supporting and influencing a wide range of initiatives, changes, and transformations across the Council. Required Skills & Qualifications: Graduate CIPD or other equivalent relevant qualification. Significant experience in a management role within HR. Highly developed HR knowledge and substantial knowledge of employment legislation applicable in large, diverse organisations. Proven experience working with senior management to develop and deliver pragmatic solutions to complex workforce issues. Extensive experience in HR management at a senior level, including monitoring and improving performance. Experience in designing policies and practices that enable effective management, ensuring diversity and fair access opportunities for all.
