Maintenance Engineer Electrical bias Torbay up to GBP40,000, Mon Fri only!

Working in a food processing environment, you'll be joining a small team of engineers who are responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance across the factory; both of its machines and facilities.
We're looking for someone with an electrical bias to complement the skills of the current team.
With the factory typically operating Monday to Friday, this is a role without regular weekend work.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
This is a key role in ensuring the factory works at optimum efficiency and to the highest safety standards, through minimising machine downtime with well planned, preventative maintenance, and timely response to breakdowns.
1. Provide timely breakdown assistance (electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic) to support a safe and effective manufacturing operation
2. Carry out planned preventative maintenance of equipment and services in line with the CMMS schedule to ensure continued performance and reliability
3. Communicate with Engineering Manager to maintain machine spares
4. Participate and support continuous improvement projects including relocation and addition of equipment
5. Work with specialist external contractors as required
6. Site and facilities maintenance

About you
You’ll already have experience in a similar role, preferably someone already working in a food production/food processing plant.
1. NVQ or C&G Level 3 Electrical qualification (installation or maintenance)
2. Strong electrical background and understanding of technical drawings and plans
3. Experience in commercial manufacturing environments; preferably in food manufacture/food processing
4. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise work accordingly
5. Basic mechanical skills e.g. conveyors, pulleys, belts, and bearings
6. Basic fabrication and metal work skills
7. A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment
