About the role:
We are currently seeking an Events Executive to join our Marketing department at The Bedford College group .
The Events Executive will be responsible for project-managing and delivering high quality events that delight stakeholders, contributing to the achievement of student recruitment numbers, the student and stakeholder experience, and the enhancement of the Group’s and its colleges’ reputation. The range of events will include students’ recruitment, onboarding and enrolment events, first day of term welcome activities, student awards and graduation ceremonies and schools and community engagement activities. The Executive will also contribute to sharing and promoting the student experience through engaging content on our social media platforms.
As an Events Executive, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Event Management - Plan, organize, ensure compliance, manage venues, collect feedback.
2. Recruitment Events - Coordinate logistics, deliver quality experiences for students and parents.
3. Ceremonies - Organize awards and graduation events, create action plans, brief staff.
4. Launch Events - Manage logistics, work with stakeholders, provide briefings.
5. Media Capture - Photograph and video events, create social media content.
6. Representation - Attend meetings, undertake additional duties.
About you:
7. Education - GCSE English and maths (grades A* to C) or equivalent, Level 4 education.
8. Experience - Two years in event development, end-to-end event management, social media content creation, customer-focused environment, liaising with colleagues and partners, using e-communications platforms, working with external suppliers.
9. Skills - Excellent communication, strong judgement/initiative, proactive self-starter, high accuracy/attention to detail, highly organised, excellent IT skills, high-quality output in fast-paced environment.
10. Values - Teamwork, inclusivity, student-centered, continuous improvement, open and caring, nurturing educational excellence.
11. Flexibility - Work outside normal hours, travel independently to campuses, exhibitions, and events.
12. Professional Development - Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge.
