Researcher
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Researcher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analysing data, and presenting findings to support decision-making, innovation, or academic contributions. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for knowledge discovery. You will have excellent people and project management skills, be self-sufficient and adaptable, and have a high attention to detail.
Background:
Our client has been in the renewable energy sector since 2012, facilitating the growth of power generated from renewable sources and ensuring energy efficiency. The team consists of experienced professionals with strong backgrounds in consultancy, development, asset management, investment, construction, installation, and agri-tech.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Design, plan, and execute research projects in alignment with organisational goals or project objectives.
* Gather, analyse, and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative data from a variety of sources.
* Store, manipulate and present data using GIS mapping tools.
* Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on current trends, developments, and advancements in the renewable energy field.
* Develop research methodologies, tools, and frameworks to address specific research questions.
* Prepare and present detailed reports, papers, and presentations to communicate findings and insights effectively.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, or external partners as needed.
* Ensure research processes comply with ethical guidelines and standards.
* Identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, or new research initiatives.
Experience and Personal Attributes:
* Educated to degree level with a demonstrable research component or equivalent experience.
* 2 years experience in a numerate or analytical field is advantageous.
* An interest in gathering and validating data and the ability to present information in a clear and coherent manner.
* Attention to detail, good organisational skills and strong motivation are essential.
* An interest in global energy, the world economy and environmental issues.
* Experience of using GIS mapping tools effectively is essential.
* Proven experience in conducting research, with a track record of delivering actionable results.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in relevant tools and software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write research reports and present findings.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a temporary to permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 30-minute lunch break, based at their head office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
They offer a competitive salary (depending on experience) and 25 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday in addition to bank holidays. There is free parking on site.
