You'll take ownership of the specification, development, and maintenance of project services systems, as well as the reporting framework for SSEN Transmission's portfolio of Large Capital Projects. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring efficient, data driven decision making across the business.
You will
- Take ownership of portfolio and programme reporting processes, setting the standards for reporting dashboards, integrated reporting, and KPIs across the Transmission portfolio.
- Collaborate with Digital teams to define and develop systems that support Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management capabilities, working closely with IT PMO to streamline the delivery of key metrics and insights.
- Act as the system owner for critical Project Services tools (including IPM, P6, Lessons Learned App, and others), ensuring training plans and materials are in place to maximise their effectiveness.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement & Commercial, and Project Management teams to identify key requirements and information needs, and champion development and implementation plans for systems and reporting solutions.
- Define, deliver, and manage a streamlined project performance framework across the SSEN Transmission portfolio, ensuring alignment with the project gate process and supporting functions. This includes performance measurement and reporting to deliver consistent, accurate, and clear insights that drive performance and optimise outcomes.
You have
- Extensive expertise as an SME in project controls/delivery systems, with a strong track record in leading teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively at all levels in a matrix environment.
- A sharp analytical mindset, with the ability to interrogate, challenge, and interpret large, complex data sets - alongside advanced proficiency in Power BI and other reporting tools.
- In depth experience and knowledge ideally gained from within utilities industry, with a strong understanding of the systems and reporting needs for large capital projects or programme delivery.
- Proven experience managing the implementation of a project services ERP system, combined with a thorough understanding of portfolio and project reporting and relevant processes.
