Arla Foods UK are hiring a Global Planning Specialist working hybrid from our Leeds head office. As part of the Global Planning department, you will join a team of dedicated and professional colleagues in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and the UK. This job will give you the opportunity to develop your skills both on a personal and professional level.
Your role is crucial to the success of our sites
You will be the coordinating link between our sales and production units and your major objective will be to follow up on plans for both areas. As part of a team you will be a key support for the Master Production Planning of dairies in the UK, balancing available milk and capacity with the demand. You will play a decisive role ensuring that we apply and use our milk and capacities optimally from a global perspective.
* Support in documentation for Plant Review Meetings at sites and other relevant meetings with stakeholders
* Lead on sales follow up, forecast deviation and plan adherence and site utilization analysis
* Prepare material and analysis for the monthly Sales & Operation Planning process
* Contribute in executing and anchoring the S&OE process
* Support the creation of production plans for site(s)
* Follow up on forecasts and production compliance and thereby identify imbalances between supply and demand
* Establish and maintain planning principles and master data in SAP/APO
* Have close collaboration with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization and gain a unique insight into Arla Foods’ business across units and functions
* Challenge processes and practices by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Proactive candidate with strong analytical and communication skills
* You will have strong experience within a Supply Chain and Production setting.
* We are looking for someone with strong experience in Excel and BI tools, with solid understanding of different supply chain activities, processes and tools.
* We are looking for someone comfortable with numbers and who has the ability to communicate with stakeholders across a matrix organization.
* In your approach, you are positive, goal-oriented and thrive on working autonomously.
* You are able to retain a customer and service-oriented approach and possess excellent stakeholder management skills. You are proactive, able to remain calm under pressure and you use your analytical skills when solving problems.
